Heart Shaped Window Pane Cookies
This recipe is from our friends at Sweet Ginx! These cookies are not only pretty to look at, they are delicious and perfect for your sweetheart for Valentine's Day!
1. Start with your favorite sugar cookie recipe or just use store bought dough
2. Preheat oven according to your dough
3. Roll out chilled dough and get your heart shaped cookie cutters out (you'll need 2 different sized cutters)
4. Using the bigger cookie cutter cut all of your dough into heart shapes and bake
5. When hot from the oven, use the smaller heart cookie cutter and cut out the center of HALF of your cookies; leave the other halves to be your bases
6. Feed centers to your drooling kiddos and save a few for yourself :)
7. Spread the cookie bases with your favorite jam, jelly, or preserves
8. Top with the cookie tops and sprinkle with powdered sugar
9. Enjoy!
